Yes. 1500 points which is very good for winning 5 best of 3 matches averaging 300 points per match, a higher average than a GS win (2000 points in 7 best of 5 matches)
Thanks for the clarification Philip..

Today's win will see Murray hit 8000 ranking points, making it the first time he's ended the year over (or on) the 8000 mark.

Great stuff and another 900 points under offer. Even just winning the SF (400 pts) is equivalent to winning 3 matches to get to a MS SF ! Points galore. The great thing with Ivan in his corner is that it gives Andy added stability and self belief. I believe that should Andy win the SF and meet Nole in the final, Andy will learn from the RR and can probably knock him out in straight sets (finger's crossed)

Don't know if its been posted already but if Andy were to win the final would he overtake Fed in the rankings? Great, Delpo taking him to 3 sets.

No. Andy will have to wait for next year to mount an attack on Federer's #2 position.

Most of us called it correctly, finishing the year at 3. I'll pop an AO poll up in a few days.

Am I right in thinking Andy reached the Miami final in 2012? How far did he get in Indian Wells? I'm trying to figure out how many points he needs to defend in addition to his Oz & Dubai ones.

perhaps we should also have a new ranking poll? Perhaps what will be Andy's highest ranking this year: 1, 2, 3? Milly: yes he got to final in Miami but only R2 in IW. You can find all last year's results if you click on results at left of MW home page
