Said he felt sorry for Murray because the British want their first Slam winner for 150,000 years. He also said Andy was "a nice guy" which I was surprised with, maybe he's trying to redeem himself now.
Why does he feel sorry for Murray - he hasn't beaten him yet! he'll be feeling sorry for himself if Andy wins - do you think he'll cry again. That comment just goes to show how sure he is of his own magnificence. Self love yuk vomit

Oh won't it just! Do I want to watch him or not - I couldn't bear it if he won, Andy would take a confidence dip again I feel. But perhaps we're being pessimistic again - we were wrong before, let's hope we are again.
I think Andy has the biggest chance here.  But... Fed is undoubtedly the favourite for me in terms of mentality.  He has nothing to prove.  He's clearly very happy with his life, enjoying his tennis immensely, and so laid back.  In tennis terms, Andy has proved again and again that he can beat Fed, but with these two, I often feel it comes down to a match in the mind.

If Andy can get under his skin and rattle him early on, I think that would be good.  However, Fed is as strong as I've seen him in a while.  As long as Andy does his best.  yes

It was an innocent comment. He was basically saying that he feels sorry for Murray because he has a lot of weight on his shoulders due to the pressure from the British whenever he gets to this close to a Slam victory.

Yes, I expect you are right - I hadn't read it in that context which puts a different slant on it. He seems to come across to me as smug, Mr Perfect and 'I can't be beaten' - probably just because I don't like him - he's too good to be true.

I rarely ever defend Federer because he does indeed come off smug with his comments but he was particularly nice about Andy in this interview, very strange... it's as if they are suddenly friends.

This is so hard to predict. It's a head and heart thing.

I'm going to be unpopular. Fed will win it 6-3 6-7 6-4 5-7 6-3.

Did I say I WANT Federer to win? I'd rather suck my mother-in-law's dirty knickers.

I loathe and despise Federer with every nerve and fibre of my being. But he does tend to win.

I'd say it's 50/50 because Murray knows what to expect, he has had the experience before.

Fed was really doing good today, I mean, he played almost prefect today against JWT!
However, looking at how Andy has done so far in the tournament, I still believe that there's great chance that Andy can beat Fed on Sunday.
And no matter what the result will be, I believe that andy will surely do his best in the final!
In that way, even IF he lost, there's nothing to be feel bad about.  Little tongue man

GO ANDY!!!  cmon yeah

I quite liked what Federer had to say about Andy, but I think he has probably realised that there is a lot of support for Andy in the crowd he won't want to get booed for saying anything nasty, he also appeared to be really relaxed, I haven't seen him like that for awhile.

The interview is on Yahoo Australia. It is not available in my "location", the uk, but perhaps it is where you are.
