Maybe Andy will make a quick exit and get back here in time for the closing ceremony on Sunday and get a rapturous reception.

Unlikely with Cincinnati next week!
Victory parade is in London on Monday Sept 10th. Wonder if he'll be free for that.....

Since Andy winning Gold, I feel somewhat relaxed about his matches because I think these two great wins taught Andy that he could do this, gave him confidence. He found he could go out and play tennis and not be nervous.....I sure hope this whole thing has a long term effect on him.
At any rate, Good Luck Andy, win your match!!

Delpo out looked absolutely knackered. I know he had a harder opponent than Andy but I really dont think this will be easy for him to come through given the last week and the change of times etc.

Won't be able to watch this match. Wasn't sure if Andy would be playing so made other plans. I hope he doesn't lose against Cipolla, but if he does, he does. I see this primarily as a good practice match - similarly if he wins and plays Raonic, although he really does need to conserve as much energy as possible now, so I won't be feeling down if Raonic beats him. The USO is the big focus.

What did anyone seriously expect? Ridiculous they were made to play this tournament in the first place - and of course Fed, by right, is allowed by right to miss it.

It is a tricky one, thing is it would be great to see Andy do well but not at the risk of his USO preparations. Guess we just have to trust Andy and Mr Lendl to do the right thing, it certainly seems to be working up till now!! If he loses tonight at least it won't be like last year and send shock waves etc. There will be legitimate reason for it. Wins = confidence and Andy s very much a confidence player but just hope physically he is not pushing himself too hard. Come on Andy, p.s. Berdych and Bennateu locked at 6 all in first set, neither player able to take advantage.

Chardy took the 1st set off Tsonga. 4-4 in 2nd.
Berdych and Benneteau are slogging it out for the 1st set.

8 all Berdych and Benneteau in the first TB.
Make that 9 all.
EDIT: finally, Chardy holds 6 all in the 2nd and into TB. Chardy won the 1st set.
