Judging by the score it was not too bad but I can not see these matches. I see Delpo and Jo-Wilfrid are out.

Very good interview honest and informative, loved the bit about Mr Lendl. Very relaxed.
I managed to miss it. Hope I can get the interview later. Thanks for posting the cake picture John.

Very good performance by Andy, lovely interview w/ Marcus as well...he does seem so happy atm. I love the fact the tournament directors gave andy a cake...how sweet of them.
I was worried about andy's knee but he seemed not too worried so i feel better now, should be a cracker vs Raonic..GOood luck Andy!!

I think he looked knackered. He went out there and did the job. I felt a bit sorry for his opponent. He has just been thrashed by a half asleep, jet lagged Andy Murray. It can't do anything for his confidence. Perhaps though it was good for Murray to get the post Gold Medal high match over with. I really liked his interview, he came over as relaxed and smiling. He looks as though that victory has taken a gigantic weight off his shoulders. The cake was a really nice touch.

Hass still playing at 33..... My heart won't last the pace ( no pun intended) if Andy does the same.

I'd like to be impartial, but I can't!

Great picture John, messy boy, loved the interview , he just seems so much more relaxed, I guess it's a huge relief to win soooo big. Oylmic champian never gonna get bored hearing that.

Andy Murray - Olympic and USO champion! :)

I thought it was a very good performance from Andy considering he only arrived in Canada yesterday. Nice to see him using his aggressive gameplan against lower-ranked players now too. The cake was a very nice touch! He does seem to be so relaxed and happy at the moment.

Tha Thanks. Andy is a little pig. But then he needs about 6-8 000 calories per day!

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

I don't think we'd begrudge a jet-lagged, sleep deprived Andy a wedge of chocolate cake! Such a nice gesture from the organisers. Thought in the circumstances Andy played very well even if a bit ragged at times. Jesus if that's how he's playing when he's hardly slept for 3 days, look out USO. And other seeds were dropping like flies. Just hope the knee is ok though it didn't sound like a real problem from his interview. It was lovely seeing him look and sound so relaxed in the interview. It does seem a shame he can't bask in the enjoyment of his medals and has to focus on the matter in hand now.

Yes Ruthie I watched the match too. Andy still seems to have an adrenalin rush when he calms down I think he will be very tired. Also some concern about his knee so I hope he is wise and has a good rest before the US Open. I am sure Lendl will keep him right I hope he heeds his advice,. Nice touch of Toronto giving him that nice chocolate cake,
