Hope it is not too serious and just the effects of the amount of tennis and the change of surface.

Good decision on Andys part. The rest will do him good. His top priority has to be the US Open. This will be Novacks to win now.

He'll probably go "home" to Florida and practice/rest until Cincy. Short flight to Florida from Toronto.

Hes thinking of next week i expect,as he has so many points to defend.

Good decision - he couldn't afford to go deep in both Toronto and Cincy and still be fit for the USO. Now he gets to rest up and enjoy his Olympics win. With his 750 points from the Olympics he isn't under as much pressure to defend his title next week either - a QF result would be fine, giving him enough practise without having to play too many matches in the Cincy heat.

Maybe my stalking scared him away. Very Happy

Very sorry for Emma, Craig and ljs who were hoping to see him, but I think he's made the absolute right decision.

Still raining here btw.

Glad Andy has pulled out, he needs to rest that knee, and then slowly get used to playing on hard court again. Wise decision, happy about that.

Murray says unusual for left knee to give him trouble, grew out of problem got treatment for yesterday. May need rest day or two.

Hope it is not serious, it didn't look too bad in match. I suspect that his recent physical and mental exertions have just caught up with him. I actually hope he returns here for the closing ceremony. It has seemed a daft not go enjoy the celebrations of his victory.  Also Nadals out of Cincinnati according to Sky news, which might have influenced the decision.
Any more info?

Won't be surprised if Djokovic doesn't follow suit soon.
