The online Daily Mail - comments section. There are some trolls on there who are really nasty about Mr M, and some of us who fight back in his defence.

I'm not a sports athlete, but I am fairly active and had back surgery over a year ago (caused by doing too much in the first place.)

My back is fantastic now and I can do all the things I used to. I recovered very quickly because I was already fit.

I really hope his injury isn't bad enough to warrant surgery, but I just wanted to share it's gave me my normal life back.

Most athletes carry injuries of some sort.

Thanks for that Linda, I think everyone reads the worst into these injuries sometimes and I hope very much it is a matter which is easily resolved, preferably without surgery.

Am not sorry to have missed this match today. Am so sorry that Andy's back is playing up again. Two finger's to the clay court tournament's anyway. Hope Andy decides to give R G a miss and gets well and ready for Wimbledon now I like Scotnadian have had back surgery and the results have been amazing. Oh and before I forgot two finger's up to A C and B C as well. There **** at the end of the day and what they think doesn't matter arseholes

I'd like to be impartial, but I can't!

The only really important goal for Andy is winning an other slam. ( And may be, may be it's only winning Wimbledon, he has already an other one....) And we all know that's not gonna be RG.

So I think he must do what's right and If he had to quit RG, so be it...
I agree FP, Wimbeldon and USO much more important for Andy, I hate clay, how do you get those white socks white !!

I think Andy should skip RG tbh. He is never going to win it.   I'm not being biased or anything but do you not find the clay season so incredibly dull and boring?  It's so tedious.    There is not many players that can challenge Rafa.    yawn
