Cilic always does well against Andy until he lets him get in his head, when Andy tends to raise his level and Cilic seems to fold.
That quarter final at the USO in 2012 is a case in point. Andy a set and 5-1 down and not playing great. Andy's mind had clearly been elsewhere (being mucked about by the USO 'organisers' didn't help the fact they'd dumped him out on Armstrong). Cilic had a golden opportunity to put Andy out in straight sets. Then Andy lifted his game, sorted his head out, and you could hear Cilic imploding on this side of the Atlantic. After losing the second set Cilic won just two more games all match.
