I dunno, the players don't look that scary. I'll be happy if he avoids:

Hewitt
Roddick
Agassi
Blake
Malisse

Although having said that, most of those are beatable at the moment too.

Here's hoping this is where Andy's season really kicks off!

And he really perfomed well in the US last year, so he should go there with plenty of confidence.

there's some really good players in that draw shocking  andy has got to be pretty lucky to avoid some of those names! however i still believe he can go far in this tournament. i hope he can get into the semis at least so that he will be on eurosport!
 cmonandy  you can do it!!!

If Andy can build on the form he showed against Ljubicic, then I think he can do very well indeed.

What the San Jose website says about Andy:

"Britain’s Andrew Murray rocketed up the rankings from 514 in 2004 to 65 by the end of 2005.  His baseline game is tricky to read, and, moreover, he appears to have that intangible X factor that makes for a great competitor.  I say “appears” because we shall see even more how well he plays now that he’s no longer a rookie hunter but on his way to becoming a hunted veteran."

I don't think he's quite on the way to being a 'hunted veteran' yet, but definitely agree with the X factor bit.  woohoo
