Andy will do it otherwise he will loose 400 points and Federer loses 600 points. He will be on a mission.

Go Andy go.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From Associated Press -

Murray has won seven Masters tournaments; Ferrer is looking for his first such victory. Murray also has beaten Ferrer twice this year — last week in the semifinals of the Japan Open in Tokyo and in the semifinals of the Australian Open in January.

“He’s one of the toughest guys on the tour to play against,” Murray said. “I played well against him last week but every match is obviously different. He’s definitely going to be bang up for the match.”

Ferrer, at 29, may be a mere shrimp at 5'9" but his tenacity, determination and staying power are well known.  He's had a good year, making the WTF for the third time in his career, and having got to this final is going to be unlikely to let it slip too easily from his grasp.  Murray too though is on a mission.  However, Ferrer may have had a tougher tournament than Murray but Murray has played more tennis over the past 3 weeks and has been complaining about soreness in his right arm.  I don't care to make a prediction here but a three-setter wouldn't surprise me.

On the face of it, probably not, but like Andy I never take anything for granted.

Ok Andy.......You kicked Ferrer's ass just last week, so you don't need me to tell you he'll be gunning for you and what you have to do! The only thing I will remind you of, is to keep your cool, 'coz when you lose that, you lose points! So, just 'keep the heid' son and you'll do fine! You've kicked a 'lot' of asses these last few weeks and you must be getting tired! Think you can kick just one more? 'Course you can! The wind is at your back, and so are we! Good luck son......now go blast him off the court! C'MON! cmon yeah

You just listen to Caz Andy.   Remain focused, calm and keep up the brilliant serving.  Remember you are playing the duracell bunny/spanish terrior so yes it could be physical and tiring.  But you can rest till Paris after that so just give it your all.  Yesterday's opponent said you played like a genius.  It's good to hear more people recognising that you can play like a genius.  Do it today and you'll knock smugfed off his comfortable perch.
I think it could go to 3 given the kind of player Ferrer is but I do believe Andy should be raising that trophy and hopefully this year the Chinese big wigs will give him more respect.   cmon yeah cmon yeah

Just watched Sky News, sports desk. RWC, send off. Jockeys whipping poor horses and an Aussie that won a motorbike race.

Not a crumb about Shanghai.

Nothing stands a chance here apart from RWC Rolling Eyes  Andy did get a mention on CNN sports news bulletin though yes

So, these 2 have met 7 times and Andy has won all meetings on hard court and David has won all meetings on clay, so that gives Andy a 4-3 H2H.

Didn't see David play last week apart from the match against Andy.  I've seen him play 3 times this week and each time he's lost the 1st set.  If I remember rightly, Ferrero had 3 match points and still lost.

I'm going for Andy to win - his Masters series record in finals is outstanding and I don't see that changing.

cmonandy and a RWC free zone!
