Andy Murray - Olympic and USO champion! :)
|
What happened?
Novak was being interviewed on the stadium court after his win and was greeted by a smiling Andy. Good timing as Annabel was just asking him about Andy's USO at the time! Novak told him "I'm speaking to your country, they've been taking away time from your practice". Nice moment, shows how well they get on.

Also worth noting that Colin and Ross join Jonny Marray in R2 of the doubles.

Saw that the match had been removed off the schedule and was quite worried it was Murray that had withdrawn.
Don't think this is good though, means he goes in cold to his 3rd round match, which will be tough either way.
If he loses in R3 does he get 10 ranking points or 90? I'm not sure if opponent withdrawing counts as winning a match or not.
He'll get 90.

A counter puncher like Andy always fights back.

Shame, Andy is not playing, at least not against Mayer. good or bad, who knows? but glad to hear Raonic is out. would not like to see him in London. Looked again like a tight match with all these TB and is proof of the fact how hard it is to break these monster servers (e. g. Isner vs. anderson). and on top boring to watch, at least for me.

I just put sky sports news on and they said 'after the break find out why it's bye bye for Andy Murray' with pictures of him getting out of a car somewhere. I thought he had pulled out of tournament cos he has an injury or something!
Glad to hear he's through although it's a shame for Mayer.
