Hi
I agree I think you both have a valid point.
Andy certaintly has changed his whole being since Nole and Federer have said they are not playing in Shangai. this is a huge chance for Andy to get to No. 3 in the world. His serve is so much better and his whole attitude, well it is fantastic.

Just hope he has not got too tired playing Doubles  and reaching to the Finals as well.

Good Luck Andy,
Does anyone know his address in Surrey, I would love to send him something, I Live in Cyprus?

Hi J don't know his full address but the village is Oxshott.  in Surry most expensive place to live in england

Patsy maybe an off topic - but a very valid point you make - Fed always dismisses in one statement the rankings issue and says only being No. 1 is important to him but surely being No 3. makes it easier to get to No. 1 than if he slips down to No. 4.  I personally don;t think he will retain the WTF title this year.  I also think there may be more to Djoko's injury than he is letting on, we just have to hope that our Andy can keep himself fit and well and he will be there challenging for everything.  He seems to have a steely determination these days - he has given himself a challenge of getting to No. 3 before the year end (and we all know how much he loves a chellenge) and he is focused and determined to get there.  Come on Andy once you are No. 3 the only way is up.  There is such a huge gulf between the Top 4 and the chasing pack - the way Andy took the No. 5 player apart today was quite sensational.  Come on Andy
Many of us would agree with this I'm sure.

The draw is out and Murray has either Tursunov or Bellucci in round 2.

R2 Tursunov or Bellucci
R3 Wawrinka (13) or Monaco
QF Simon (8) or Troicki (11)
SF Tsonga (4) or Fish (5) possibly Melzer (14) Dolgopolov (12)
F  Nadal (1) or Ferrer(3)

Full draw

Doesn't look like a bad draw at all so provided Andy isn't tired out by doing so well in singles and dubs in Tokyo he must be in with a good chance.  I guess he and Rafa won't play till wednesday so should have time to recover I hope.

He will be fine.  He is fitter than he has been for some while.

I think this is what  he has been training for the Far East then Paris and onto London.  Good Luck to him..
He looks a mean machine!!

Haha as great a tweet as that would be, I think he was just referring to the fact his match was up next at Shanghai :P He beat Monaco earlier. He's likely to have a USO rematch with Donald Young in R2, so Andy could come across Young again in R3. It's a very good draw for Andy. There should be no problems before the semis, and  I think he's really hungry for this.

Btw, does anyone have any information on who the last guy to win 3 hardcourt titles in 3 consecutive weeks was? I've done a not entirely thorough check, and I don't think there's any active player to do it. Djokovic and Nadal have done 3 clay titles in 3 weeks, and Federer of course has amassed many streaks, but it doesn't seem that he ever did 3 in 3, which would be as much due to scheduling than his inability to do it. But still, it would be an incredible achievement for Andy if he could pull it off.

If Andy maintains the same level of play this week in Tokyo will be extremely hard to beat .... and win this trophy again. I was impressed by the change in attitude of our champion: engagement, tactics, risk taking, power, concentration.,,, A real treat!

I can not imagine him back to his previous atternoiements and tensions.

After his tremondous form in Tokyo, he will excell in Shangai.

His confidence will have gone through the roof, it is fantastic for his fans, keep supporting him and belief.

He is the greatest player that the British have produced, it is wonderful.

Come on Andy now win Shangai and then have a rest before the Paris Masters and onto Barclays.
