Sky commentators at the Capitala Tourney say that Sky will broadcast Hopman Cup on Monday 7 p.m. Sky Sports Extra. No doubt more will be forthcoming soon.

Yes they said later they would be covering it all week. With Eurosport UK covering the Qatar ExonMobile that Andy won last year there will be plenty of tennis to watch!

Todays temperature for Perth is expected to reach 37-39° C, whilst Melbourne is looking at 22° C, though a heatwave is expected later in the week, with temperatures getting into the 30's. I hope that Andy is getting used to the heat fainting

Slightly cooler temperature forecast for Monday, but I've suddenly realised that Perth is 5 hours behind NZ time - I'll be just about ready for bed when Andy comes on to play doh

I agree Sir Panda I’m sure that playing twice a day in the heat of Perth will help Andy acclimatise
There was a article in the independent yesterday Andy mentions he seemed to play night matches in Doha and generally it was cold. It looks from the article that Andy & Laura are having fun with some banter between them so hopefully Andy will hit Melbourne fit, relaxed and acclimatised.

There is a semi ‘live scoreboard’ on the HC site, it updates every 90 seconds which can be frustrating on deuce also perthnow.com.au are giving live commentary on all matches.

You do realise that this is an indoor event don't you?  I guess that Andy is practising outside, which will help him.  This event will be moving in a couple of years:-

The Western Australian Government through EventsCorp has committed to support the Hyundai Hopman Cup to at least 2013. Together with the support of Burswood Entertainment Complex the event will be staged at the Dome for two more events. Upon completion of the Government funded new multi-purpose arena with a retractable roof, the Hyundai Hopman Cup will then move to their new home, the Perth Arena. This will position the Hyundai Hopman Cup as the only lead-in event to the Australian Open that has identical conditions as the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne (same court surface, played in a venue with a retractable roof).

From the Hopman Cup official website.

Currently 2 wildfires blazing away just north of Perth at the moment - worrying time for a number of people in Oz at the moment.

Hmm I remember all the fires and problems at the same time as AO last year. Hopefully won't be as bad this year Frown

I think I did read that when it was announced Andy was playing the HC but clearly had forgotten that fact I guess the word ’Dome’ should have been a reminder.

goodjob  I wasn't until I saw some highlights on Sky News (Aussie one) that I realised it was an indoor event.

Anyhow, temperatures forecast for lower 30's today in Perth and Melbourne in high 20's so levelling themselves out at the minute.

Not sure if anyone has seen the inside of the dome but the roof is a little like Wimbledon's I think. Sort of see-throughish. Anyways on Saturday it was 35 outside. Inside it was 25 but with 40% humidity.

Didn't see the forecast today of inside has I was working but the late action I saw the player where sweating buckets.

Actually I just looked at a video and it's not see-through it's just weird Smile
