The inquest, the post-mortem, etc etc.

Well, that was woeful.
Flatter than the Netherlands, slower than Ann Widdicombe wearing iron boots wading through treacle, and less focus than a Tesco Value disposable camera.
I think it may be time for Andy to consider adding some new input into his coaching team. I've seen people suggesting a psychologist. Hmm, well it's obvious that his slump is in the mental department, as he played some of his best tennis only recently, in January. Whether it is missing a bit of 'How's yer father?' from Miss Kimberly Sears, a lack of concentration due to the media furore that has surrounded him thanks to that cretin, Sunbed Lloyd, or a man who is simply failing to recover from that defeat in the AO final, I think Andy needs to be pro-active and seek some advice/help from someone who has reached the top echelons of the game, who knows the massive weight/expectation that Andy is bearing.
Andy, you have three weeks to sort your game (especially that second serve, 75MPH is absolutely embarrassing) and your head out - I hope to see a revitalised and focused Andy Murray enter the principality, because he has a lot of points to defend in the clay season.
Soapbox, off.

Can we have some sort of MW appeal, like a Blue Peter one, where we all put in some cash to have a pile of elephant sh*t dumped outside John Lloyd's house in L.A.?
Better yet, let's each put some of our faeces in. Shotgun I go first, I'd hate to be the last to put mine in.
As you suggest, someone with a knowledge of psychology is needed, be it in a sporting sense or as a more conventional personal counsellor.
Is it three weeks to MC? Or two? Genuine question.

I'm in. Now where's the number to the Taj Mahal? Three vindaloos, two bowls of Saag Aloo and six pints of cobra should do the trick.

I had to edit, when I read back I realised my post could be misinterpreted as me getting annoyed with your comment

Which is exactly the conclusion I jumped to, like a lemming from the top of canary wharf.

Anybody noticed how Cowan is desperately trying to sound exactly like Peter Fleming?

Sexy Legs wishes he'd had one tenth as successful a career as the Flemmeister.

He will never be a 'Pete' doesn't have the legs for it. I locked eyes with Peter Fleming during the Aberdeen Cup... he is quite handsome.

Yes, career high 162; took Sampras to five sets at Wimbledon in the 2nd round when Pete was looking for a bit of extra grass-court practice, and then issued a THREE-PAGE press release when he retired.
For someone who appears to have no sense of humour whatsoever, he's got better on Sky over the years (by copying Fleming), but you wouldn't want him at your birthday party, would you?
