Damn you Chris... Murray will probably miss Wimbledon, one of his best chances, and you get another free gift. There should be rule that you have to add a slam on every time Murray withdraws due to injury

Oh bugger.
I'm starting to wonder about the security of my £10 note now.

I wanted Andy for the 2008 US Open, but you didn't go that far.

Is Chris going to increase the time frame or is he too SCARED?

I tell you what I might do, and I've been thinking of doing this for a while, but I might give the option to extend the bet for another year, at the cost of an extra £10. I'll worry about that come next January though.

Well guys, I guess I lose. It turns out that Murray got to the final of a Grand Slam event before the Australian Open 2008!

I originally placed a bet with webmaster Mark. The bet in question? £10
Andy Murray
will not make it into the final of any of the upcoming eight Grand Slams (ie. through to AO 2008). I think you can guess (or bet) who thinks Murray will make it
The bet has now been extended to anyone who is willing to put their money where their mouth is.
Above is the Murray-O-Meter: tracking the eight chances Murray has of getting to the finals.
List of people involved in the bet:
Mark
JohnW
rafa
No you don't
But very good picture! P.S. Should it not be two sets to love by now? If he doesn't make the US 2 sets and a break up

Also the picture itself mentions the "progress Andy Murray." So it's still alive.

Looks like the bargain plea occured.
Quote from: Mark on MSN
how about extend the MurrayoMeter by another year to make us MWers feel better about Murray being out for a whole f**king year
We've been in diplomatic talks and we've come out of it with a trade agreement. Let it be known!
For every Slam event Andy Murray doesn't take part in, an extra Slam attempt is allowed
For every extra Slam attempt, an extra £1 is waged by those who think Andy Murray will get to the final of a Grand Slam
I will pay out £10 regardless of how many extra Slam events take place
Those who wish to participate under these new rules must sign in this thread. Otherwise the old bet will stand and there will be no allowances for injuries.

A decent compromise and I hereby agree to these new terms.
