Is it me or is Mr M looking a bit rough? He looked wrecked at the end of that, and he still has a doubles to play.

A counter puncher like Andy always fights back.

My livestream suddenly froze when it mattered- at MP. So nice to read it was a FH winner from Andy. Champion's style.

Always a good sign when Andy can deal with Stan fairly comfortably. That boy sure knows how to rally and that has given Andy big trouble in the past when he hasn't been on his 'A' game. Next up Raonic, the Canadian Centaur, or am I the only one who thinks his legs look they come from another, more equine source?

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

Well done Andy. Only dipped in and out of it but will watch whole match later. Did notice some clutching of back - hope it will be ok. But apart from one dip in 2nd set and that mad attempt at the hot dog a convincing win over Stan who often gives him trouble.

Incidentally this win puts Murray ahead of Nadal in the YTD rankings, and all but confirms his position in the top 3 for the end of the year. Of course it means little anyway given Nadal has been out for months.

Well done Andy - Wawrinka was playing some excellent solid stuff in the second set, that's all I was able to watch sadly.

Fantastic win for Andy, well done Champ! I recorded the match, but woke in time to see the end of the first set. Peter Fleming was practically purring at the way Andy was playing, so he must have been good lol.
It struck me that Stan would fight back in the second, and he did, but Andy regrouped to win the third convincingly.
I don't quite know what Andy was thinking with the hotdog attempt, but look how often he's made it work. It was good to see him get over it and move on.
