Great math to watch apart from the result for us. Lost it when he lost the 1 break lead.
Not a lot of difference in the match stats, almost identical.

That was the first match I've seen from Andy in a long time where he was beaten rather than losing. Hats off to Milos, he played amazingly, and his shot-making was actually better than his serve this time. But it still hurts.

Andy missed many opportunities to win that match..... I think Raonic played better than he did in the USopen but Andy played at a level or 2 below that performance...still Ho! Hum!... its a diddy tournament in the grand scheme of things

Would have liked to see Andy go all the way. Sad for Andy. He didn't play badly stats pretty close but there are not too many serve a volley players out there for baselines to get used to playing. Aces were 8 to 13.

Shanghai next isn't it? I hear SmugFed is back for Shanghai, wouldn't mind seeing Murray giving him a beating.

Well said Lashurst, Circe: great match, Raonic did very well, but it still hurts because he was very close...

Oh dear. Well played Milos. Stuck to your guns. Yes, he deserves credit. He's a hard guy to beat. I think he will win the final too now. Who will win between Baggy and Kei? Bye, bye to all you guys, especially in the Southern hemisphere.

A really good performance from Raonic - he really hung in there. Andy will be annoyed with himself - he had the match on his racquet and couldn't finish it. Good match though.

How?
4-1, 30-0 up in the third set and then threw it away.

A counter puncher like Andy always fights back.

He had it in his hands after this miracle of a break and let it slip, had MP and played inaccurately at one, slammed a ball into the net in the TB. And Raonic did not let loose as I was hoping. After all, "we" are still USO Champion and Olympic Gold Medallist. And I can have a longer sleep tomorrow.

Oh well - more important to defend his points in Shanghai than there.
