4-1, 30-0 up in the third set and then threw it away.

Just because he's won a GS doesn't mean he's always going to win matches. Raonic was great in the 3rd set, and deserved the win after great play. I am a little disappointed he lost it after being 4-1 up, but it was only a break and it's not like he gave up the fight during the set. I'd much rather see him lose a tight match, than something like what he did against Chardy in Cincinati where he just bombed it. I know Murray will come back fighting and it's not the end of the world.

Pathetic.
Disappointing but not pathetic.

1st set was bad, Andy was not fired up from the start but, Milos played really well and the margins in the 2nd and 3rd were very small.

Do you expected him never to lose a match?

Please lay off Mr M, he was playing a damn good player. I personally would prefer him to lose to Raonic in one of these than in a GS. It sounds like a very even match. Personally thinking of the immediate future it gives him a bit of extra rest before Shanghai, and I don't necessarily think its a bad thing for him to have less points to defend towards the end of the year when they are all knackered. We have had two Olympic medals and a GS out of him over the last two months be grateful, not greedy. He has also qualified for the WTF.  I haven't thought he looked completely right this tournament.  He can battle for no 1 next year.  Much as I wanted him to win, I don't want an automatom.

Yes, he deserves credit. He's a hard guy to beat. I think he will win the final too now.

Who will win between Baggy and Kei?

Bye, bye to all you guys, especially in the Southern hemisphere.

Kei I hope - that would be brill.  I now want him to win the tourney.   So special to get the home win.

Andy was sloppy when it mattered. Tired? Back hurting? Missing Ivan? Shrug
Being totally "Pollyanna" more time to prepare for Shanghai Whistle

Kei vs Raonic in the battle of the up and comers sounds like a good encounter to me!

I hope Marcos B wins simply because I like him, but it would be good for KN on home turf. I rather think though that Raonic will win the final.

It was a very close match, so he cannot have played that badly. I wonder if it is because of his back.  When it was troubling him before the net became a magnet and his serve went off a bit.  I am sure he could have some more injections for this problem as I cannot see him doing too well for the rest of the year otherwise.  It was at Queen's that I first notice the serve and net problem which was why he protected his back for Wimby and Olympics.

Hopefully he will be ok for Shanghai. It is such a shame because he loses so many points.  Niow perhaps he will not play Basel as he does not have anything to defend.

Boogers, yep Andy should have closed it out at 4-1 but calling Andy pathetic is pathetic. It's not like he was routed 6-1 6-1.

He's still exceeded most people's expectations for 2012 so far. It's about bringing it in the big matches and GS is where Andy plays his best tennis. I'd put up with a loss like today if he goes onto to do well in Shanghai and WTF.

Andy will be giving himself a good kicking for letting that set slip away from him, especially throwing away a MP, but all praise to Milos for playing a very solid game.  Too much bad temper on show from Andy as well, which was disappointing.

And Lendl can't hold his hand all the time, Aileen. More's the pity.

A counter puncher like Andy always fights back.

I'm still a little disappointed as a lot/some of you are because a victory was so close. But it's easier to take such losses these days, isn't it. His performance was not the best, he may have more time to recover now, yet an encounter with Tomic or Mayer does not sound like groving smoothly into  next tournament.
