I feel odd. Seven years of desperately willing Andy to win a Slam and now I feel almost empty. Hopefully it's just relief, but I didn't feel true elation after the USO, just shock and the feeling that a ghost was laid to rest.
Anyway, good win. Am I alone in feeling that anything in his career from now on is a nice bonus?

Well done Mr M (again) - no messing about. Did someone say Karlovic had got clobbered with more foot faults. If so assuming its a different umpire to the Wimbledon match, it shows Karlovic is just a sore loser. Does that mean it is Lacko next?

I don't want him to be viewed as a one slam wonder. I am invested in him distinguishing himself from the likes of Del Potro (in terms of the slam count).

Yes, but he wants more. Being the perfectionist he is, I suspect his next goal is to avoid the cretins in the tabloid press starting the "one slam tripe". Like Teejay? Want him to have the chance of thrashing Fed in a GS final. Although equally I would settle for Fed not reaching another GS Final...!!! I would like him to reach number 1, because that's what he wants.

I don't understand why ATP don't include the winners/unforced errors count in their match stats. It's probably the figure I'm most interested in.

^ Absolutely agree with Clydey. At least 5 please.. Understandable though, we all feel exhausted after the almost nearlies of the past years. And profound relief and joy too.

When does he start the doubles? It is not mentioned for today or tomorrow on the schedule?

Andy Murray fan since 2009.

Nice convincing win for Murray. He is obviously not rattled by the new attention and seems to be playing superbly. Unfortunately I missed the match but looking at the starts right now it showed some consistent tennis being played by the Scot. Roll on tomorrow!
