Welcome ruh1. Not sure we can necessarily put too much faith in what Andy or any other players say about their form going into a GS. That said there's no reason why Andy's form shouldn't be good other than lack of match practice on hard courts. But fortunately his draw should, all being well, provide that before he meets really tough opposition.

Andy always seems to play in the USO at prime-time in UK. Or am I imagining it? Any chance the TV companies have a say at what time players play their matches? Im sure it happens at Wimbledon.

The first couple of rounds should give him enough match practice and time to adjust the courts, conditions and atmosphere. Andy really loves NY so he should feel both mentally and physically really good. He's had a good amount of time to put things behind as well, so it's really time to pay attention to what's ahead and set a new goal. Hope Andy starts off well today and stays focused.

The truth is that none of us really knows how he is going to do - his game and his mood are both unpredictable and all we can do is hope that both turn up on the night. We know he can do it but will he? I wish him all the luck in the world and if he wins a grand slam I'm going to drive up to Dunblane and paint another postbox with stars and stripes. Come on Andy you can do it!!!!

Oh no it's the dreaded Annabelle and Greg on Sky with Marcus. Had a clip of Johnny Mac saying much as he hates to say it, working with Ivan L has worked well or words to that effect, with that little twinkle in his eye. He'll never quite let go of that old rivalry
