There was play for a over an hour before the rain started. The match before Andy's finished quite quickly. Heather Watson is 2-6, 3-5 down to Li Na as well, having lost 4 games in succession in both sets (having had a break point and a break respectively).

4 matches were completed, and a bunch were still underway. But 56 matches are scheduled for today.

Thanks for the updates. I looked on ATP mobile website for any completed matches and it says none Rolling Eyes

I have stopped recording the tennis-I will start again in a bit on the off-chance but it sounds like it's in for the day.

Play goes on til around midnight doesn't it? And it's not even 2pm. Surely the rain will stop (for long enough) before then?

Oh well. Doesn't matter too much anyway, given the 2nd round doesn't start til Thurs. Could've been a bit of a pisser if Andy was to start on Wednesday (and this happened).

Rain has a facking dry sense of humour even though it tends to wet everything. Bloody stupid freakin' rain....

Andy must feel like he is in London .. 72 and light showers .. Time for NY to get a roof.   Looks like the rain is disappearing so we may get Andys match in.

Has anyone seen the great tee shirts at www.spicetag.com of golden boy Andy ?  I ordered the shirt and it is pretty nice.

Good luck to Andy, be Mr Magic today and take care og bogo! cmon yeah

Just shown some live shots of the courts and going to need a lot of towels to dry the court off. Gosh, I'm knackered already and not even got to work yawn

What's the betting that if Andy's match isn't played before the evening matches are due to start they will carry Andy over 'til tomorrow rather than move His Highness?

They've just said on Sky Sport that its still raining very hard at Flushing Meadows (appropriate name) and no signs of stopping atm.
It doesn't look good then, does it?
It will probably be played in the middle of the night (Northern Europe) at this rate!
There is ceratinly a lot of bad weather in North and Central America at present. Frown

Anyway, beat him badly Andy cmonandy !
