US Open R2: Murray vs Haase

Quote

Just checked schedule - Andy 3rd on Louis Armstrong Court, after Monica Niculescu(ROU) vs. Lucie Safarova(CZE)[27] and Robby Ginepri(USA) vs.   John Isner(USA)[28], so could be early evening dontknow

These 2 last met in 2008 in Rotterdam, with Haase the winner (home advantage maybe) but that was then and this is now (positive head on).

I have seen Haase play at the AO but he lost/retired (I can't remember, sorry!)

H2H to follow - work beckons!

Around 8:30PM our time, I would wager.

Haase could cause problems, awkward player, but I'd back Murray in 3/4.

An article in the Guardian says Andy is staying away from the locker rooms so many people have become sick ,he is also taking tablet to boost his immune sysem.

Disgraceful! Andy is NOT playing on the main show court, Arthur Ashe Stadium.

At least I was correct in two of my three predictions. I said Andy would be 3rd on; I said one of the two American players would have the late match. What I had wrong was stating that Andy would be on  AA Stadium. Bloody fix.

You see, Apollo, all protests at Andy's treatment in the Big Apple's tournament is to no avail

Get over it! It's the US OPEN! Of course they're going to favour American players! pullhair There IS NO GREAT CONSPIRACY! He's number 4 so getting show courts, but that means there 6 players whose matches will always take precedence when you account for the top 3 women as well.

The Murray fan doth protest too much.

Nothing remiss about the scheduling, plus, Armstrong is a quicker surface, and in my opinion, a better atmosphere anyway.

My selection of photos was based on what I could find for Robin Haase 1st Whistle

Hopefully this will be about 8.30 pm UK time, as that will mean 7.30 am NZ time.  Hope hubby doesn't mind waiting for his Saturday morning coffee. wub
