I honestly think that the overwhelming win that Andy had at Wimbledon was partly down to his overwhelming desire, but also down to the way he refused to give up on any points throughout the tournament and chased down everything he could. This got him back in the game against Verdasco and eventually built him up to handle the heat of a Djokovic final.

Fair enough if you want to vent if he gets a bit wayward in the third set of a match but save the real venom for when he stops trying to chase down every possible shot. I've seen some lapses in quality in this match but I haven't seen him stop trying.

Andy tuned into the zone for that 4ths set. That's one of the best set of returns he's ever done.

I ******* love it when that switch just flicks and he starts playing absolutely sublime. Those last couple of games were stunning. That topspin forehand winner in the penultimate point was beautiful.

1st Set- Average, 2nd Set - Averagely good, 3rd Set -poor, 4th - Remarkable

Yes, because we all know matches are played on paper.

Players always play to their ranking, like robots.

....you have a point Andy played like a number 50 today.
