Dodig is dangerous i've seen him play a couple of times including that victory against Rafa....I am slightly worried but do think he'lll be OK, although I can see Andy dropping a set here if he plays like he did in first match.

I read it every day when I lived in the U.K. Robbie. In fact it's one of the few things I miss though I can read it online. Not the same though.
Watching Raonic at the moment and not sure whether I want him to win or not, good match & in the fifth set now.

AGree with you Teejay but I think the humidity and heat were niggling Andy;as I posted hope for an evening schedule for him next match even though I'll have to watch it the next day as age necessitates that I fall asleep if too late. Mind you I managed until 2 last night.
Hi Marg and all,
Oh I agree, I think the humidity in particular was difficult.
To be truthful I might have to watch next day too if the next one is late, but at this point I'll take whatever helps Andy.
For the record, and tempting fate I know, I don't think Andy will be half as nervous for the next one. Sure, they've never played, so it is going to take some working out, and Dodig (he's the one who made his way through the tour by sleeping rough) has some weapons, but Andy is great at figuring out opponents. I still think Andy was nervous yesterday, the conditions were tough, Bogomalov put up a fight, but Andy came through in straights. Now Andy can push on, and I'm sure he will.

time/date follows....
(Dutch newspaper today : Andy is favorite this tournament (even yesterday was not his best performance) . Mentioned also the speech at Wimbledon as the most beautiful post match interview in history of tennis...
)
Good to hear Andy is getting some positive coverage outside of his homeland, where he doesnt always get treated fairly.

I'd like to be impartial, but I can't!

Thats so nice Flowerpower ,shame we don't treat him so well in the media, if Andy was American well they would be so proud, here most of the time not always, we put our athletes down.

Thanks robbie. I'm surprised Andy's on again tomorrow - I thought it was round 1 for the first 3 days.

'Focus' is neither profane nor obscene. In this instance it certainly did have an independent meaning and was not used to fill out a sentence or metrical line. By your definition, therefore Apollo, it cannot be classed as an expletive.
Just learned last night about expletives.....still not clear

I think it will be tricky at the start, with Andy not being in form, at present. However, he's aware that his chance for a GS title is lost for 2012, should he lose. Hopefully Lendl and Andy will be working on his current slip in form and will be correcting it.
Andy attributed some of his below average performance to very windy conditions, but who knows?
We've got to hope he builds up nicely in these opening rounds, without an upset. That would put his confidence back quite a bit, for sure.
Hopefully Andy in 3. I'll settle for Andy in 4 though
