USO QF : Murray v Isner

Andy's serve was 70% in the first set, looked pretty good to me?

i thought he had a decent % of first serve throughout the match. i'm not bothered about the way he played today. andy plays differently, raises his level. when he gets to an SF of a slam.

on another note, is it already confirmed that they'll be pushing for a sunday finals?

My biggest question is; Who was that tired man that stood-in for Isner in the second set?

I reckon he's got an inferior twin brother.

Murray served well in this match. It's up for criticism at times, but not particularly today.

looks like Roddick is not going to pose too many problems for Rafa - so no favours for Andy there - hope he recovers well.

the american comms have been repeating all match that john isner rarely ge3ts broken. if that were true, he would have been winning matches and should be in the top 5.

just glad andy is through to the SF. i prefer him playing rafa over roddick. now all we have to wish for is that they have a long match, tire each other out.

There is a part of me that agrees with you as to Andy playing Rafa instead of Roddick, but I wonder if that's wise.  Andy has a better record over Roddick than he does Rafa. I'd like to know what others think about this as well.

I think Andy would have a much better chance against Roddick even with the crowd against him than against Rafa.  Roddick will have the shadow of that humiliation at Queens over him.  But it doesn't look very likely unless something changes drastically in the match.  I fear Rafa is going to come through very easily and be as fresh as a Spanish daisy tomorrow.

yes

Though I think Andy would rather play Rafa - you've got to beat the best to be the best.

Just hope he can recover in time.   I guess this is what all that off season fitness training is all about.
