I disagree. Vehemently.  Everyone is allowed a bad day, and they don't deserve castigation and abuse from the peanut gallery, particularly those people who self-identify as fans.  That just adds insult to injury.

What knocked the stuffing out of him is that every part of him game ws off, most damagingly his return wasn't working. 146 slam matches and only 2 of them has he ever failed to create a break point. He's allowed to fall apart every 73 matches.  It does not make him anything near a disgrace.  Good grief.
Amen to that!!

Loads of people have slumps after Slam wins, some longer than others. On the WTA, Li Na and Petra Kvitova didn't win a title for more than a year after they won the French Open and Wimbledon respectively. Also people like Djokovic had slumps when they won their first slams. Nothing new.

Don't reply to my posts. I have nothing to say to you.

Yeah ... and as a fan I accept that...but then what any us of accept or don't is of little consequence to Andy's career. Losing a match is totally acceptable.... providing maximum effort is present. Did you feel he gave his all in that match? I didnt ... his head and heart was just not in that match...which is what made is such a frustrating spectacle for many folks on here it seems. I think most of us hoped Andy would have the confidence now, after such great slam wins, to go on a run ... especially after seeing what Djoko did from '11 ... so its just disappointment... and just a blip in his career...hopefully.

I think it is simply that he just didn't have the effort available to give. It's not that he wasn't trying. More that he simply couldn't.  Warwinka isn't that good a player. If he was he would have more than 4 career singles titles To his credit, and those are only 250's. Murray has achieved more than that this year alone.
