the bbc radio 5 extra is starting at 1600 hours so I assume they are covering the doubles match first

I have to admit I too am a bit anxious for Andy here. Stan and he may be good friends but Stan is a talented competitor and Andy will have to be on good form to beat him.

just been watching the Sky comms pontificating on the match - wish I hadn't as made me even more nervous, if that's possible.  Although they all called it for Andy eventually, they thought it would be long and brutal.  Yikes can I cope?

I try to remember that the comms want to make everyone think it's going to be close and drama filled. Smile

Watched the last set against Histomin and Andy looks 110% fit to me. He was moving like a road-runner on speed.  So no worries on that score.

Im always surprised so many experienced Andy watchers get suckered into thinking he is injured. I was watching a rerun of the final versus Joker last year and I think it was in the 2nd set the commentators were so worried by his body language and constant grabbing of body parts one of them suggested he may not finish the match or words to that effect. He did ok though didn't he?
Lets hope Andy didnt give Stan a tennis lesson on how to win a Slam! naughty But rather some bogus tips, ha ha..  Whistle

comms also said that it's quite windy, which should help Andy against Stan.  Slightly cooler than yesterday but slightly more humid too.  Greg seemed to think overall the conditions favoured Andy.

Looks like this doubles match is going to go to a decider as the Bryans seem to be faffing about, so with the break between matches we could be waiting until 7:00-7:30pm (2:00-2:30pm)for the match to start.

7:00 would be a broader prediction, this 3rd set should be quick.
