Thanks LJS...this really did the trick. Managed to watch all of the match thanks to you. I am really ****** off though that both myp2p and fromsport have been shut. Finding a stream is a nightmare at the mo.

Oh man they expect me to do work.....  So glad Andy won, he really had to work hard to win, but maybe thats good.  Does everyone know that Venus and Soderling pulled out?

Even if it meant hitting the bottle during the first set, overall I think it was a good first match for Andy.  He had to work for it but once he got that 1st set he was hitting the ball so well at times.  Comms were saying they think it's the best he's played in 1st round here.  And I think when he failed to serve it out, he was just getting impatient.  Onwards and upwards Mr M.

Andy's through in straight sets, that's all that really matters in these early games. Devvarman started off well and caused a few problems for Andy, but as expected Andy took his game to another level and looked comfortable for the majority of the match.

I was impressed by the amount of winners Andy was hitting, some were extraordinary. His backhand and serve looked suspect at times, but I'd expect that to improve as the tournament goes on.

Onwards and upwards for Andy, he played some great tennis today, more to come.

Agreed. We'll need some liver function test during 2nd week.

Now for R. Haase. Met the once, 2008 and lost to him. But we expect him to win this time.

Very good second and third sets from Andy, his forehand was looking good.

A good match, and Andy will now have a feel of the surface and how it plays. He was really putting in some welly to his shots, being aggressive. Thought some of his forehands were stupendous. This will give him some confidence and he can build on this start. Well done Andy.

Thanks - poor woman.  I rather like Venus so sorry to hear that.  Did someone say Sod had a virus too?   Or was it his wrist injury still?
