Does Federer use the orange-shirted tournament guys to carry his sedan chair or does he insist on bringing in his own staff? I just have images of Federer being carried out on a throne now. Eating lindt.

So pleased for him. Must say i was surprised at how vitriolic some of the posts were. Whatever anyone thinks Andy always tries his best, why wouldn't he? Cut him some slack eh?
Believe it or not, it's because we do care so much about Andy that we get so frustrated. It's really best to ignore things that are said during matches, especially ones like this one. In fact I've always felt these match discussions should be deleted asap. I think most of us who look back over what we've said when emotions cool down feel slightly embarrassed. I know I do.

We could cheerfully kill him at times like these, and when he and we are under pressure we can be a mean bunch of supporters. Its called passion.

It was a heavy match, but Murray came through against a player who was having a "good day at the office", and in spite of the heat still did it in 4. Winning 3 tie breaks was impressive. Not sure it was a case of Mr M playing badly or Mr L playing brilliantly. Either way, well done to Mr M.
My mind has been contemplating what this site would have done to Tsonga after his loss in the second round......!!!

However - RF was very gracious in defeat at the Olympics - it was nice to see him smile and congratulate Andy. Not much else he could do in the face of such a thrashing, mind. Andy - you need to remember this is what you are capable of!

Well done, Andy! That must have been tough in that awful sweltering heat. Get a good rest! Sleep is a great healer. Monday should be better folks, at least forecast is for 76 degrees high, isolated thunderstorms.
