There is no way the third seed is playing on an outside court in the third round at a GS. Ever.
Exactly. He'll be on AA, LA or Grandstand. Would actually like to see Murray on grandstand - he likes the court.

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

By outside they probably meant just not on AA. But earlier in the week one of the Sky comms said that Andy likes playing on GS and apparently the wind is better on the smaller courts. I don't think we should worry about the courts. And Andy has said he's glad to have 2 days preparation and is going to practise in the heat to prepare for an afternoon match.
I don't think we can ever take anyone for granted but does augur well for match against Lopez. And then I'm torn between hoping Raonic now gets knocked out and that he isn't but that Andy thrashes him so that he knows who is boss for the future.

No worries, Lopez doesn't have enough to beat Andy, I'm very confident about this match.

I can't see it being a night match - I would have thought they'd go for one of the Americans.

Hi Ruthie and all,
I feel the same LOL. I am quietly confident that Andy will get the better of Raonic to be honest, because of the way he is returning, but part of me would love Raonic gone. It would just be another hurdle out of the way.
It would be great to see Andy put a marker down for Raonic though, just to make it clear that he isn't going anywhere, and isn't about to be pushed around by the new boy. I'd love to see it in a way, because it would banish once and for all the nonsense that was flying around early in the year, that not only was Andy losing ground on the top three, but others beneath him were catching up. Pasting Raonic would be a great statement, and I have to say it would make me irrationally happy, almost as happy as Andy clobbering Fed in the semi's if he can do it, not to mention the other thing at the end of the tournament - you know, that thing I've suddenly decided not to mention in case I jinx him lol.

Andy said he expects a day match so he's pleased he has 2 days to practise in the heat to get ready.

One match at a time, so good luck Andy against Lopez. But I watched Raonic and his serve is a mighty weapon. Although, it will be interesting to see if Blake gets past him. Blake is fast like Andy and quite tennis smart.

One match at a time for me too. I'll worry about Raonic if and when it happens. His serve is his main weapon, and his groundstrokes have improved over the last year, but he still has a way to go. What happened in Barcelona was unfortunate, and we now know Andy was troubled by a back problem then, but there was no doubt that by the end of the very close 2nd set he was getting Raonic's measure.

Just watched the Lendl interview posted on the other thread.
I'm following his lead and taking "..one match at a time, one set at a time."

... even one game at a time. It only takes a point or two to completely change the direction of a match.
