"I totally disagree with everything you have written. When Nadal played against Haase in Wimbledon it went to 5 sets and Nadal had to dig deep to come through. And guess what Nadal went onto win the title! Also cast your mind to 2 yrs ago at Wimbledon in the first round when Federer went to 5 sets against a competitor who hadn't won much, and nearly went out. It happens when a lower ranked player comes out with all guns blazing and plays out of their skins, while the likes of the top 4 suffer from nerves. "

You have the right to disagree with everything I wrote. However, I maintain that Andy was poorly negotiated the first two sets, it is surprising and disturbing that with a double break in his pocket in the 5th set, he finds himself everywhere 4. Andy dreams of a Grand Slam title: it is essential to erase "the excesses" that will be before reddibitoires
the very best. Andy has an amazing talent he is far from exploited, I maintain also that Roger Rasheed would be able to work on his game and his mind. Of course, it is not the first player to win the big four in five sets.!!!!! Here I mean the one I particularly support for which I dream of the best.

I think that Lopez should not be too much of a problem for Andy. My principle concern is the strong possibility that Andy may be opposed by Donald Young.

Having watched Young's impessed defeat of Wawrinka. With Andy knowing that he has already lost to Young very badly, I believe that AM will have to change his game plan to overcome Young if he has to meet him in the round after Lopez. Young is a vey strong young man and an accurate base-liner. Long rallies suits Young very well as do drop shots. Coupled with the rather vociferous US supporters, which will almost certainly get up Andy's nose.

It's up to Andy but he can overcome Young as long as can maintain his level of concentration at a high level.

Incidentally, if the match-up is to between AM and DY, I am certain that it will be a late night performance, ie. early Monday morning.

OSS, when Andy lost to Donald, he was in a bad place mentally and never really turned up for the match, Donald did not so much as win the match, more like Andy handed it to him! However, that said Donald has to overcome The Whiley Chela first.  hug

Ah there was research published the other day that said chocolate is really good for you so perhaps our Nigel should take over as nutrition supremo after all.  Whistle
I don't think it will worry Andy having the American crowd against him.  He thrives in an intense atmosphere and it's obvious they'll be shouting for their man.  The Andy who won yesterday is a very different Andy who went out tamely to Donald Y earlier in the year as PT said.  But let's not get ahead of ourselves. He still has to beat Deliciano and after yesterday we all know anything can happen any time.

Good that Andy has finally got a night match on AA but not good for me as got to get up early Monday to go down to London where I've got a really busy day, so will record either the match or the next day's highlights if he wins.
