Oh heck.  Follows a women's doubles, so that means probably 2 am BST.  I was hoping he'd be on first at night.  Even this night owl doesn't like watching matches at that hour, especially in Slams where they can be long ones, and I can't record it.  Would never sleep anyway wondering what the score was.
Come on Aileen, you never sleep at all, I think.   lol
2am UK time..Hmmm. I'll have to come home from work and go to bed about 8pm  zz and get up at 3am, CEST. If its a 4/5setter I might see the whole thing before I have to go to work at 7am.

Thats life! Andy Murray had better make it worth my while, I kid you not!

Such good news that Andy is playing on Ash at night even if it wreaks havoc with my sleep.
Bignose can you put a sock in it please. We're not making excuses for Andy. We're observing that Andy clearly acclimatises in Miami for a reason and the fact he's not coped so well with the conditions this time shows how right he is to do so.  Comparisons with other players are irrelevant.

Is being an Andy Murray fan meaning you have to bend over backwards to make excuses for him? Did Joker do a training stint in Miami? Joker has played Wimbledon, Olympics, Montreal and Cinny. And he's played the maxm matches in each tournament except Wimbledon where he lost the semis. He's breezed through the tournament so far playing in the heat of the day. Im fed up people making excuses for Andy. I just want him to get on with it, fight through the pain barrier and win this thing. I dont care whether he's not had a training stint in Miami and I don;t care if its hot because its the same for everyone. Andy has played fewer matches than any of the other top players this year. He's had a big rest since the Olympics and should be fighting fit. He started Monday this year as well. So lets hear no more excuse about Andy being tired please.

While I understand what you're saying, you have to remember, some people are simply more able for the heat than others.I'm Irish, and very fair skinned. My mom is also Irish, but her skin is a dark olive tone.I've grown up in exactly the same climate as her-in fact,I lived in the US for a few years when I was younger, where it's far hotter than in Ireland, while she grew up exclusively in Ireland. We both love hot sunny weather, but I'm simply not able to cope with it like she can.She can handle extreme temperatures.I love heat, but I can't handle it above a certain range.People can handle different extremes. It's not really fair to compare the ability to manage that.Yeah,Andy might not cope with it with the ease of some. But he's obviously doing his best to cope, and he hasn't used it as an excuse where some might. So far he has been managing to push through-he played for 4 hours in heat so bad that spectators were leaving because they couldn't handle even sitting in it.We can only hope he continues to cope with the heat-but if (god forbid) he doesn't,it won't be for lack of trying!

Just watching Stan Waw. thrash Dolgo. Dolly had a horrible match, everything going out, or netted. Not at all the up and coming player he was 1 year ago, when he looked dangerous. Something's gone wrong with his game.

And as tennis fashion goes, they are both wearing puke-yellow/lime tops which is the wrong colour for their particular complexions, if you know what I mean.

I think we should realise that some of our discussions on here about what Andy thinks, says and does are our own creations and not necessarily from Andys lips.
He has mentioned the prep. time for H court season, but hasnt whinned about it.

Big nose is right, we shouldn't look for excuses. Andy doesnt, IMO.

Also, tournament officials are not trying to fix match times and courts, ect. to purposely disadvantage Andy Murray. Lets not be paranoid.

Glad that Andy got the night match on Ashe, even if it means staying up 'til stupid o'clock I want him to play in the conditions that suit him best.

I'll try and stay up and watch it although I might be falling asleep by then! I managed to stay up until 5.30 on semi final day last year although I felt dreadful afterwards, but that might have been made worse by Andy losing to Nadal for the third slam in a row.

Its a lot to expect from Laura, to win, but I hope she can take a set off the very experienced and strong Sam S.
She's looking good atm, both players won their opening games.

Come on Robson!!!

Just to  tighten the tension up a further notch,I observe that if Murray beats Raonic he would be only 586 points away from overtaking Nadal and would be ranked no 3 in the world. I would love to see him back at this position, last held was it 2009?

I liked what Mac was saying about Andy winning this thing and going on to be number one at the end of the year. That's the way to think about things!

Glad andy got night match for him, with regards to sleep well.... this is why i have booked some days of week this week i assumed 4r and Qfs often played at night and i knew there was no way i missing him!

So basicallly andy needs to make it through - so MORE of is followers can watch him on wednesday likely day match, i can see Andy putting on a clinic for this Raonic guy, I think Andy will come out with intent he'll love showing this serve-bot whose boss. I honestly think it'll be 3 sets, 4 if somehow he loses 2 or 3rd set breaker or something.  ( i hope!)

Yeah, it's a difficult time for me. A midnight start is fine as I can fall straight to sleep when it ends - I can cope with 4/5 hours sleep for one night. A 4 or 5am start, as we often see at the AO, is also doable but can be hard to rouse myself for. However, a 2 or 3am start on a work night is hellish and probably not possible. Think I'll have to give this one a miss. If he gets to the QFs, however, I'll be watching each match from then on. pray

Andy loves the night matches particularly if the crowd are noisy and being labour day in USA the crowd will have a few drinky poos by nightfall cheers
