I was surprised he was wearing his day rather than night kit.  Perhaps because it was still fairly humid?

"There was not much I could do," Raonic said. "I tried playing back, coming in a lot. He had solutions to everything. He took me out of the match. He said at the end, 'Sorry.' and I said, 'Don't be sorry, it was simply amazing, keep it up.' He was blocking returns, neutralising me really well. It was tough in there. He did things I had no answer for, something I had not really experienced before."

Hope all the Milos bashers calling him pug face on here after the pre match presser pipe down now. That was a lovely post match interview, the guy has a lot to learn and he's very young, everyone needs a chance to prove themselves. Smile

As one of the comms pointed out Andy made USO final at the same age as Raonic.  Also Andy would never have spoken like that about an opponent prior to the match.  While I think Raonic has to some extent redeemed himself with his response to his loss I don't think age really excuses his pre-match behaviour.
Btw did anyone notice that near start of 2nd set Andy gave a broad smile - I guess in direction of his box - as if to say the plan is working guys.

Rain stopped play at USO. Euro Sport are showing a repeat of Andys 3rd set against Raonic, while Ferrer and Gasquet take a break.

Nice to see it all again, all relaxed. Smile

Everyone does and says stupid stuff at 21, as long as you can turn around and acknowledge you were wrong which he did.

It's strange how the younger generation here are defending Raonic while the older are bashing him apart with nasty name calling. Really, give the poor guy a break.

Hi All,

Due to rain Andy's match is being replayed from the start on Sky Sport now.

Ruthie, the stat I couldn't remember earlier was that according to the ATP stats Andy is the best returner ever on a hard court. I like that one, that's a classy stat!

Just a while back they showed Andy warming up for practice with Jez. Andy was looking pleased with himself, and why not. Also just now someone from Andy's team was whacking balls at Marcus and co. If you hear someone hurting themselves laughing it will be because Rusedski has been clobbered! I would pay Lendl good money to do it!

Thanks tj - yes heard them say it too but couldn't remember which thread the question had been asked on.  Amazing really.  They also said Andy is top returner of 2nd serves on the tour this year on any surface I think.
