Think with the ease that Rafa has played against Roddick today Nadal may just be a little too fit for Andy tomorrow.

A shame mind as I feel if he can get through this and get a days rest before Monday he would have a great chance against either Novak or Rodger

With a heavy heart I unfortunately think Rafa will win in 4 sets tomorrow.

I have never hoped so much in my life mind that I am wrong about anything as I do about tomorrow.

Come on Andy give us a match of your life  yay

Well he's looking on fire against someone who has clearly seen better days,
Roddicks only real weapon is his serve and I don't see it working too well for him Today.
More than twice as many winners from Rafa than the 'aggressive' Roddick.
Murray will be totally focused and exert far more pressure.
He did play for longer but he had a bit more recovery time at least.
I'm not calling this one for myself until I see the first set,
Oh Boy it going to be a great afternoon of tennis!

Quite a sombre starting post to a Murray slam semi thread but worryingly just i fear. I totally agree.

I thought that there were far too many facets of Andy's game missing tonight.

With regard to the first SF - it's a lesser of two evils for me King Smug or Prince Smug - equally as annoying as one another but lets hope they knock each other stupid for 5 sets and that Andy gets past Rafa.  Rafa and Andy matches are always pretty close - Andy must be due a win against him why not tommorrow.  Come on Andy................

If Rafa was playing Isner,
Do you think he could have done much better?
I would have thought probably that Rafa would not have let Isner back into the match at least.
But Isner was playing much better than Roddick.

I think Rafa would have struggled with the serve and the speed it was coming over the net at.  Rafa's resiliance to win is second to none but the one thing that I think was a real positive was Andy's play at the tie break - he wanted to win and pulled out some amazing shots to get there.  Very positive and held his nerve at vital times.

Which means they're playing later correct?
Murray will need all the rest he can get if he's to have chance!

I am not saying Andy played bad today against Isner he played as well as anyone could against a man with a monster serve like that. All I fear and hope I am wrong is that as the match wears on tomorrow Rafa may just get over the line as he is the less fatigued at the moment.

I actually think if he can somehow get past Rafa tommrow that he will win the final against either of the other 2. w00t

As long as it isn't another massive one or he'll be simply too tired.
One of a number of encouraging things was the serve. Against Lopez he served very well but without pace, very high%
This time the serve was really beefed up and he maintained the % too.
We shall see what happens but maybe he is starting to peak.
This was what Rafa was trying to do today and clearly succeeded against a weak opponent.
Let's hope anyway!
He might lose in 4 maybe even 3 but damn it would be great if he could just go for it at least.
Murray has also humbled roddick recently in even more spectacular fashion
Remember and this is a hard court not the clay

Andy is super fit.  Yes, it’s a bugger to have to play 3 days in a row.  It is unfair, but let’s face it, life is not always fair.  Like Rob Roy McGregor Andy can do this, just for today. Pay no attention to any farcical tricks from your opponent, keep after him, pin him down and take him out & as Caz said recently don’t dwell on any mistakes of your own, toss them in the trash, & move forward, don’t look back. Come on, Andy, if you can do it, without killing yourself over it, go ahead & do it!

Match scheduled to start not before 2:45 pm ET (7:45 pm BST)

There's the likelihood of a much later start though as the Djokovic/Federer match, scheduled for 12:00 pm ET, could go to 4 or even 5 sets.

Weather looks reasonably good - Intervals of clouds and sunshine. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High near 80F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph. 20% chance of rain.

All I want is for Andy to give of his best, so if he wins, then great; but if he loses, then there's no disgrace, although he'll be hugely disappointed.
