I still felt a bit tense during the AD match - and that was only an exhibition one. Maybe just seeing Andy on court has a Pavlovian effect!

Funny - I'm not tense any more. I'm satisfied he delivers what he can where he can.

Very true, but I guess I won't really know how I'll feel until his first 'proper' match, although I think I'll always be a bit nervous. The problem with AD was that I had a feeling his heart wasn't going to be in it and therefore he had no incentive to deliver, and so lost the match (although Tipsy did play a very solid game and their matches have always been close) and that that was going to bring the negative comments from the usual suspects on here - and I think that's what was really making me tense. Maybe I'll stay away from MW during matches in future! Going online can be a blessing as well as a curse.

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

Aileen I have long stayed away from MW during matches as I can't stand some of the comments that get thrown out in the heat of the match. Just occasionally when I'm on a train say and need to find out what's going on I might log on but otherwise best left until the dust has dried.

Oh - I thought this was about watching Andy on TV - not MW.

I shouldn't come on during matches. The carping annoys me. I just got tempted today because of watching online. Won't make that mistake again lol.

Eh? The comment was about not coming on to MW while watching Andy live on TV.

And so? One way I cope with watching Andy on TV now is by NOT coming onto MW! And as I started the thread I think I can interpret it how I like -no? Jeez - wind your neck in!. Knock yourself out, hon...

My problem is that I have to watch matches on my laptop most of the time, and so it's very easy to bounce between the match and MW, whereas if the matches are shown on the BBC or ITV there's less temptation because my poor old eyes don't cope too well with constantly having to re-adjust to the different screens and so I end up with a headache!

Does anybody feel quite subdued and somewhat miserable after any kind of loss suffered by Andy??

Yes definitely. I just hate it when he looses.

Only when it counts. To me, this was more a PR exercise.

yep!! Your not alone there, although I'm not quite as bad as I would be in important games.
