Will Murray win a slam in 2010? « on: September 15, 2009, 02:15 AM »

So 20 year old Juan Martin Del Potro joins Djokovic as a slam winner, leaving Murray in the dust as another slam year ends. So where does this leave Murray? Slamless in Liverpool?

The question is will he ever win a slam? Maybe. The more pertinent question for right now though is can he win a slam in 2010, or will he end up empty handed once again this time next year...and probably for all time?

That is a terrible poll? What if I think he's most likely to win the US Open? Which I do by the way... Anyway, I think he's got what it takes to pick one up. I love how everyone is throwing him under the bus. He's what, twenty two? His life isn't over yet.

He's British as well, let's remember that... he still has time but it's fast running out, I think he'll get one and it will be Wimbledon in 2011.

Why put time restraints on him? Why not say during his career? DP and Nole (who won a slam last year and hasn't since) could be 1 slam wonders, who knows?

I'd like to say he'd win several but I'd be happy if he only ever won 1 - Wimbledon! God, we could live on that for years lol

Why no option to select win 1 slam

he could win Aussie or Wimbly or even US Open Just because he went out early in the this year doesn't mean he can't do well again At the US.

Sampras won the us in 1990 Went out in the Quarters 91 Reached the Finals in 92 "had a wake up call" (His Words) then from about the age of 22 1993 onwards went on to win pretty much everything for several years Including 12 Grand Slams.

Perhaps this can be Andys wake up call.
