The same goes both ways.  My dream has always been to go to Wimbledon.  I've never even seen a grass court.  All we have here in the states is hard and a few clay courts.  Cincy is pretty cool, though.  I would almost rather go there than to the US Open, I'm not a big fan of NYC (too crowded and expensive) and I can sit really close to the court at Cincy much cheaper than the nosebleed of Ashe Stadium.  
P.S. Sorry about going slightly backwards in the conversation.  With the time difference I normally am on at different times than y'all.  Also, this may sound stupid but I have no computer skills what so ever and I have not been able to figure out how to quote what someone said earlier like you guys do all the time.  Am I missing something really obvious?[/quote]

yea i can understand the NY situation when it's those 2 weeks, must be an absolutely swarm of people! At wimbledon it's a bit different....you have people camping out all night to get cheap tickets in the morning (like me!)  lol it's all very civilisied - every body in the camps has fun, and it's generally nice with bonfires e.t.c also the whole atmosphere is intense but there is so much grenery and beautiful views that it just makes you forget about everything....also of course the strawberries and cream are gourgeous (MUST have at Wimbly!)
also i suppose the NY courts are in the city...wimbly is in the outskirts, in the 'middle of nowhere' as i call it, comapring to where i live - heart of london!

Very Happy Whey Hey, now I have. Been to Wimbledon, seen a "proper" tennis match, that is. Well lots actually.  Embarassed

And no matter how many times I convince myself it's a better picture on TV ( now I no longer have the mobility to queue for SE19) it's not true.

The atmosphere is brilliant. Well worth every minute (or day :P ) of queuing.
