Wimbledon R2: Andy Murray vs. Yen-Hsun Lu

Quote

Bev, are you preparing the H2H for the 2nd round?

Inspired by Bev, and not great timing for her perhaps? I'm learning..

Good! Its better Andy plays his non-centre court match now because perhaps next week it will be raining and Andy should be on centre (with its roof!) for the rest of the tournament.

Wonder if Fed will get a trip onto court 1 this year..Whistle

No... far better Andy plays Court 1 now rather than in 4R like last year that was a hot mess!

Good luck vs Lu andy  i'm slightly nervous abouth this match the beijing olympics loss is still in my mind a little...and court 1 can be a bit unlucky.

He should be on No.1 Court on the last weekend.......for the Seniors finals - it's where he belongs these days!!

You shouldn't be nervous!  Smile  Andy's loss then was down to very little sleep after attending the opening ceremony, IIRC ... I remember reading in his book where he said how annoyed with himself he was because he didn't give himself a proper chance.   I think we can be confident that's not going to be the case here!

Also worth noting that Andy beat Lu 3&2 earlier this year.

What great news, when one of our own is supporting him. Please cheer for me too, very loudly even though its not the done thing at SW19!
He's sure to have an easy win with you there to support him. cmon yeah

I wish he'd been on court 1 this time last year - I'd have seen him then!

Should be a comfortable win for Andy tomorrow - though I'm always a little nervous when he plays Lu after the Olympics and then Roddick's defeat to him at Wimbledon 2010.

careful all you horizontally relaxed folk - we don't want our pride in Andy to go before a fall.  Makes me  nervous  I know things are looking good but anything can happen in tennis, as we saw yesterday.  All those pundits predicting Raf would be champion now have egg all over their faces.
I agree, Andy needs to be focused and on the ball for all his matches.  You never know when an opponent comes on court playing in the zone.
