Nole and his fans will definitely be rooting for Andy given that his #1 is on the line (not to mention their friendship).

There is a real negative to being on twitter and I experienced it today. Someone I follow retweeted a comment Michael Owen (English footballer) had made about Andy's 'DREAM' path to the final.
When he was challenged about it he responded with this:
"Some of you think Murray has had a tough path to the final. Please! There are 4 top players in the world and he hasn't played any of them".
I really wish morons that know sod all about tennis wouldn't comment on it.

Michael Owen said that? Really?
You sure it wasn't a fake account?
Would be an odd comment for him to make seeing as he's always come across as quite quiet and shy himself.

He's backed out of it saying he knows **** all about tennis. That much was obvious Michael.

Definitely him.
Odd. Doesn't seem to actually attacking Murray, just seemed to think his draw was easy and is generally clueless. Typical fair-weather fan I guess. Opinion of him has definitely gone down nonetheless.

Federer is serving really good in his last two games.
I would love to see Andy attack him from the beginning. Hold Federer on his backfoot. I know this can and probably will result in much of errors, but I like the idea of "losing" better then "not being asked at all".

Having just listened to Radio 5 Live, Nigel did brill, but it pains me to say that having listened to those callers it is no wonder there is such anti English / Scottish feeling. That just makes me want to put my tick in the box come 2014. One guy stated he could never support anybody Scottish, he was from Yorkshire and I always thought it was the people in the South that didn't like us??
Yorkshire is south of Scotland
Seriously, we're not all like that from there but we do have our fair share of n*bs
My hubby doesn't like tennis at all but hopes Andy wins and knocks the smile off Feds face

Can't even think about this yet. Absolutely exhausted, but optimistic.
Off to have happy dreams about today...

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge will watch Sunday's men's singles final between Andy Murray and Roger Federer from the Royal Box at Wimbledon.
A palace spokesperson has also revealed that Queen Elizabeth II has kept the weekend free of engagements following her recent trip to Scotland. However, Prince William has a prior commitment and will not be able to attend.
"The Duchess is planning on attending but the Duke cannot because of a prior, private commitment," a statement from St James's Palace confirmed.
Royal family spokesperson Zaki Cooper told The Mirror: "
We've been waiting for the semi-final outcome
and the Queen has a private weekend. We don't yet know if she will be going to Wimbledon on Sunday, but a decision will be announced when it is made.
Fed, they're coming to see Andy, not you, right!

yes definitely - i should think pretty much all of nole fans will root for andy - some because of number 1, but many just because they'd be happier seeing andy get his first slam rather than fed his 17th. the number 1 is inconsequential, really, because even if fed loses here, nole has oodles to defend in canada, USO, etc, so will likely lose it at the least for a while regardless.
anyhow - go andy go!!

I'm starting to get annoyed with all celebs tweeting their opinions on tennis and Andy, there backhanded compliments about andy's personality and demeanour..all this i'll support him even though he can't crack a smile nonsense.
Just grates me thse people know Sweet FA about andy but pretend they do!

It is obvious that Michael owen knows nothing about tennis. You only meet any of the four till you get to the Semis and sometimes they are out before then like nadal.
Andy had the toughest draw and Nole had the easiest, and I think that showed in the semis. Yes, federer will be on song but so will murray and he will have his game plans.
Tough match ahead but i am sure Andy will do his utmost to win. he will have to keep Fed running but Fed serves, yes where good. Good luck Andy

LOL do you people never learn? The US 08 and AUS 10 have the same "Muz is obv going to win" before the match then the whole "Damn, Fed is playing well" during it and then the "Fed was just too good today" after. Classic times.

No one on here is saying that Andy will obviously win.
It's clear that he's the underdog but he's stll got an amazing chance to get the win. Predicting the result is tough - I think the most unlikely result is Murray in 3 but I am going for a Murray to win in 5 incredibly tense sets. Here's my list of most likely outcomes in order:
Andy in 5
Fed in 3
Fed in 5
Andy in 4
Fed in 4
Andy in 3
