Just seen a stat on Sky Sports News. Has Murray ever hit 61 or more winners in a match before?

Does that stat include aces?

His serve in that last set was the best I can remember. Came out after the rain break and won all but one point straight off the serve (and still won the other point anyway).

Did he not lose a point in the tie break on his serve, the second one on his serve at 2-0. His serve was superb throught the 4th set. 83% first serves in, 30 of 36 and 90% won, 27 of 30.

No but I do need a spike to plonk his head on.
A 10 day ban I see
Now, about that spike

Go to the Daily Mail and vote for Andy!
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/tennis/article-2168853/Wimbledon-2012-Andy-Murray-beats-David-Ferrer.html#comments
You wouldn't by any chance be Linda, Oslo, would you?
Gone through it all and done the necessary. Great to see so much positivity and even the negative ones are fairly benign and predictable, although "pleen, Gloucestershire" sounds a real pillock - and you'll find he's had a slap round the ears from Aileen, Edinburgh (02:02).
Come on MWers - get in there and vote and/or add a comment!

What a day! Andy winning one of the most difficult matches in his career and I have at last been put on a fast track list for a double hip replacement. I shall be able to exercise again and best of all walk properly. Unfortunaely on Friday I will be at work but will re cord the match. C'MON ANDY!!!

Grrrrr. Woke up at 8am this morning and I'm still knackered from yesterday. Being self employed working mostly from home I've decided to take the day off but wait....I need to keep tomorrow PM free. Andy, you're doing my head in! Get this thing won Sunday so I can catch up with work next week.

Let's be honest, the majority on here at 3-5, 6-6 (2-5) and 6-6 (5-6) in the 2nd set were doubting. He was seemingly as good as two sets down and to come back from that, the way he was playing, would been probably imposible.
Instead he pulled off a great comeback. Saving that SP at 5-6 was the turning point.
I understand all that, but when you start doubting, and showing it, you're more than half way to losing. Thats one great improvement in Andy's game, his dealing with adversity. Its starting to win him new support, too. I'll never write him off until the last point.

Yes I was just thinking that too - Andy's talked a lot about dealing with adversity recently. It must be something than he and Lendl have talked about together and have been working on. He dealt with losing the first set tiebreak so well yesterday and kept on fighting throughout the match. So often in big matches he's not played the big points well, but yesterday he was able to come up with his best tennis when it really mattered. His serve in particular helped him out so much.
