Wimbledon R3: Murray v Baghdatis

Quote

Murray will play Marcos Baghdatis in round 3 on Saturday.

Baghdatis came through his match against Dimitrov with a walkover in the second after securing the fist set 7-5.

Head to head sits at 3 & 3.

Details to be confirmed.

Compared to Karlovic this should be a walk in the park. Probably slightly tougher than Davydenko but not by much. Baggy's best days are well behind him IMO.

Andy in 3!

You did Baggy justice, Bev. Cypriots are very nice friendly people.
3 all then but Andy will end his hopes. Sorry Marcos Frown

I'm very cautious about this match. Baghdatis is very astute on grass, but I'd hope the home support and Murray's good form should be enough to win in 3 or 4.

Not worth it - it only encourages them. Sad people that revel in defeat of outsiders and view a win as delayed gratification for greater schadenfreude later. When Andy wins his Slam then I 'll probably tell them to get it right up them sideways, but till then I'll ignore them.

Probably won't see it bcos camping (got satellite receiver, but depends on terrain/weather). Fingers crossed.

Normally be stoked about him meeting Baggy, doesn't usually scare me, but I'm trying very hard not to get too excited/worried about Andy's progress. Taking nothing for granted.

Hoping for a 3 finger match. Smile

Baggy won't be easy but won't be as tough as Ivo. Andy will be able to relax from time to time at least and that's important. He has much tougher rounds coming up.

He had to stay extremely focused against the big monk today and that's always tough for Andy we all know it.

I always remember that mob of crazy Cypriots who followed Baghdatis everywhere. I wonder if they will be in attendance for this one. With Rafa out, I imagine this one will definitely be on CC!

His support is ******* crazy. I remember being there one year for Nalbandian vs Baggy on Court 18, reminiscent of a chicken fight.

Andy in 3 for me but who bloody knows after tonight.
