I think it's going to be close, Rafa doesn't seem quite at his best (although still really good) and Andy has been playing well and with confidence. Think it could go either way but think it will be 4 sets. I'll admit that I'll be happy whoever wins really

Let's Go!!!

Murray will win in a five set thriller.....!!!!
He is in a much better position than last year when he had no real form coming into wimby. Yes he will need to play a lot better, but Nadal is not invincible, and if Murray can just believe in himself, and take his chances when they come along, he can win.
Of course Nadal is the favourite, but do not write our man off yet!
GO ANDY!!!!
I would never write him off - it's just that Nadal sometimes seems invincible - but then I didn't think Jo-W would knock out Fed. Nadal seems to bring out the right shots when they are needed somehow and just manages to get the edge. However much better a place Andy might be in now - is it good enough?

Nadal is human not a machine. Even machines break sometimes. I think Andy has a good chance if he plays his A game we should all get behind him and give our full support so come on Andy you CAN DO IT.

What?????????
Sorry I'm a huge Rafa fan. That doesn't mean I don't want Andy to do well, it just means I like both players and can never choose when they play each other. I liked tennis long before Andy came on the scene and will like the sport long after he retires-which means I like watching many players play and don't feel the need to obsessively only support one player and hate the rest.

It seems there are a lot of people who watch tennis because of Andy Murray but there are plenty of people who will watch tennis through the decades and will support a variety of players equally. It is not an offence.

All fair enough of course, but can understand why people are miffed when it's a Murray fansite.

About what? That we won't say Rafa's the scum of the earth just because he could be good enough to beat Andy? Sorry but expecting a bit of perspective and sporting behaviour shouldn't be seen as being over the top.

No. Way to exaggerate. I just said expect a few puzzled reactions when you say that you're not fussed who wins on a Murray fansite. It's not exactly a forum designed on the premise of neutrality. Anyone know what the weather is to be like on Friday? Sincerely hope it's not played under a roof. The last thing Murray needs against Nadal is slow conditions.

Have you read some of the comments made about what some people think Rafa is like Tell me that if they were saying that about Andy you wouldn't be objecting? Since it's fairly obvious that I'm a Rafa fan as well, don't see why it should be a surprise

Yeah, Andrew, I understand when people like you get miffed because you watch Murray for being Scottish and not for tennis. So the fact we support players for their tennis and charisma makes us lesser fans?

Yes, I have, and some of them are from people who like Nadal. It's only you and Julia who have backed him to the hilt. Perhaps you guys are being subjective?
People can say whatever they like about Murray. I contribute on MTF and some of the things said about him over there beggars belief. If he's feigning injury, I'll be the first to call his bluff on it.

You've got it all wrong. And where do I start with the last sentence? You just pluck words and assertions from thin air. I'm just reminding you what site you're posting on. We may not all be sycophants but it's still pretty partisan.
