Shame he's not the one in front of Anderson at 148. What was the injury?
Had some loose bits of bone in his knee that had to be removed.

My respect for her has gone up, nice comments from Serena.
Andy does seem quite popular on the Women's tour. Wozniacki and I think Azarenka are fans too.

Nice to read that Serena is an Andy fan - I'm sure we'd welcome her to MW.
I read somewhere (bbc website I think) that Rafa had also expressed pleasure that Andy made the final.

Serena is also a very big fan of Pete? Great minds think alike? I believe so.

Hi All,
I've just sat and read this entire thread, frankly I wish I'd been around here for the tournament itself, it would have spared me all the screaming at the TV on my own!
I cried buckets when Andy won the semi. An incredible moment. Mark Petchey's equivalent of the 'they think it's all over' moment was brilliant in commentary. I'm sick to the back teeth of the statue of Fred Perry, but hey-ho.
Wow, some tense moments there, but somehow I felt Andy was going to come through. I just think at the start of the third he was staring history in the face, or maybe it was a lapse because it had all been fairly easy going up until that point, but for me he'd given himself that foothold in the first two sets and I didn't see him losing it from there, not really. At the risk of sounding like a traitor as well, I'm quite glad Tsonga won a set. It was a major semi-final, it needed to be a bit of a match, and Tsonga is a nice bloke, not that that has anything to do with anything lol.
I just think now there are people in the game (John McEnroe for one) who can see the pressure Andy is under to win at Wimbledon, but they can also see that he has handled the pressure well. The way I look at it for the future is that Andy played well whilst under the pressure of the media here. How well could he play at the USO and the AO, when the media spotlight isn't on him here to the same extent?
I'm glad this one and the final are coming out on DVD. The final will break my heart to watch again, but this semi will be played over and over.

I could watch this clip over and over.
The roar after HawkEye confirms it in is brilliant.
Would prefer Petchey commentary though ("What a way to do it!"), and would love to see the final game again (well, the whole match really, but that game mostly).
Found it.
