World Tour Finals RR: Murray vs Ferrer

I would say this would be the less toughest round robin match.  cmonandy

They've played each other 8 times, with Andy winning every meeting not on clay. This includes 3 wins this year and once at last years O2 event. I predict Andy in 2 unless Ferrer is playing at his best then I'd say Andy in 3.

Morning, all.

I have horrible thoughts about this match.

On many occasions, Andy has been placed against opponents that he should have swamped; only to come up short. Having said that, if Andy were to defeat Ferrer fairly easily, I believe that this would allow him to launch himself positively.

I have predicted Andy to win the final.

Ferrer is never a pushover and he will be keen to do better this year than he did last, when I don't think he won a match.  Andy will have to be wary but I'm sure he will take nothing for granted and emerge triumphant.   nervous   I would certainly rather Andy played Ferrer first than Berdych.

Andy has destroyed Ferrer on hard courts recently. This is a very slow court, but I'd still back Murray in straights.

Do we know that it's a slow court?  I thought the word was that it was faster than Paris.

Also does anyone know if they consulted Andy about the speed of the court and what he would prefer?

Alis, I thought that because all the commies are saying Rafa is disadvantaged/Roger advantaged because of the speed of the court.

Well if he doesn't beat Ferrer, then the omens wouldn't be good as he must be the easiest of his group to beat for Andy I'd have thought.  That said I never underestimate the terrier either.  Just hope that Andy can ignore his physical niggles and sore brain (according to Guardian).  REally annoyed that won't be able to watch this as had been hoping they'd have Andy on on the Sunday.  Go Andy Go.  cmon yeah

Can you record it?

If he doesn't beat Ferrer, he won't advance - and nor would he deserve to.

Yes but there's Wednesday too and that will probably be a better match but not sure when they'll release the order of play for wednesday and I have to go down to London first thing Monday.  I don't think I'll have enough space on my hard disk to record mon and wed.  But I guess if they don't release the wed times in time I will record mon.

Well.. looks like I will have to rely on dodgy streams to watch due to non-coverage in Canada until next weekend (they will show highlights until then I think).
Enjoy!!!.... Smile (and I will extract my revenge next year when I go to the Rogers Cup in Toronto... that is assuming anyone turns up after the Olympics..!)  crossfingers
