Well.. looks like I will have to rely on dodgy streams to watch due to non-coverage in Canada until next weekend (they will show highlights until then I think).
Enjoy!!!.... Smile (and I will extract my revenge next year when I go to the Rogers Cup in Toronto... that is assuming anyone turns up after the Olympics..!)  crossfingers
Or you could watch the BBC stream like I'll be doing (I live in Bangkok). If you change your IP to make it British then you'll be allowed access (Easy-hide-IP works and you get a 3 day trial). Let me know if you need help making it work.

Do we know that it's a slow court?  I thought the word was that it was faster than Paris.

Courts around the world have a 'pace rating' given by the ITF. Paris's PR is 38 (v slow), although they raised it to 45 for last year, for some reason.

I can't find the individual PRs of various venues. However, I did find these interesting stats on a forum, based on percentage of service breaks achieved at various events, which should give an idea of speed. One contributor reckoned that the O2 is a similar pace to Cincy.

ULTRA-QUICK COURTS:
Lyon (Indoor carpet) 2007 = 13.57%
Halle (Grass) 2008 = 14.35%
Queens (Grass) 2007 = 15.76%

FAST COURTS:
Basel (Indoor carpet) 2007 = 17.21%
Wimbledon (Grass) 2007 = 17.34%
Madrid Masters (Indoor hard) 2007 = 18.02%
Paris Masters (Indoor hard) 2005-7 = 18.56%
Cincinnati Masters (DecoTurfII) 2007 = 19.22%
St.Petersberg (Indoor carpet) 2007 = 19.87%

MEDIUM PACE COURTS:
Montreal Masters (DecoTurfII) 2007 = 21.12%
Miami Masters (DecoTurfII) 2008 = 21.70%
US Open (DecoTurfII) 2007 = 21.87%
Dubai TC (DecoTurfII) 2008 = 22.08%

SLOWER COURTS:
Indian Wells (Plexipave) 2008 = 22.97%
Australian Open (Plexicushion) 2008 = 23.18%
Rome Masters (Clay) 2007 = 23.34%
Toronto Masters (DecoTurfII) 2006 = 23.53%
Roland Garros (Clay) 2008 = 23.68%

VERY SLOW COURTS:
Barcelona (Clay) 2008 = 26,53%
Monte Carlo Masters (Clay) 2008 = 29.22%
Hamburg Masters (Clay) 2006 = 30.32%
Estoril (Clay) 2008 = 30.84%

They just said on Sky that Andy said the pace was similar to last year but rather slower than Paris last week.

I think that stat was taken from Paris last year when they raised the surface pace rating to 45 for one year.

Hey, look at me with my surface pace ratings, I should be on Men's Tennis Forums with the big boys.

Hope you're right ChrisMac as every set could count.  Indeed every game could count, if it goes down to the wire on Friday.

Murray has a good record against Ferrer but the courts are playing slow! so I reckon Ferrer will win this in 3!
