[Murray Magic]

Okay still a few days to go until some "Andy time" and following his triumph and excellence in the US of A, it got me thinking that all the bad times (early exits, wondering if a GS would ever happen, the heartache of those four lost finals etc) were all worth suffering to see Andy make British tennis history and reap the rewards he so very much deserves.  Then I got to thinking and wondering what fellow MW contributors would class as the top five things that make them support Andy, here are mine, see what you think......

1.  He is one heck of a talented player with a majestic array of shotmaking that can on occasion leave you in awe.
2.  He has never given up, never quit even though at times it must have felt like the whole of the media had it in for him and at times he must have wondered would he ever win that elusive GS.  He pledged to get stronger, fitter, better and do it - and boy did he do it in some style!!
3.  He is down to earth, normal, humble and genuine - how many global sports stars can you say that about?  He has never forgotten his roots and credits his family for his success.
4.  His will to win and reach all his goals is second to none, his dedication to the sport is immense.
5.  He is a perfect role model and has and will inspire future generations
(Oh and he just happens to be Scottish, which is just even more amazing as he has succeeded in a sport that is at the end of the day is nae very Scottish!!!)

Interested to see what everyone else thinks, might just pass the time until the Asian swing........

---His stamina. Runs down every ball and defends possible winners with ease.

---His looks. Very important for someone like me  . My eyes are glued to the TV whenever he plays.

---Stays out of the limelight. Doesn't like hogging attention and just does his own work. Love his shy personality.

---Perseverance. Very hardworking and sincere in whatever he tries.

---Service. Has a nice, balanced and consistent serve which is really important. Gets out of sticky situations with a powerful ace which make me  and how does he do it???
