It's not like we have a doubles team in a Tour semifinal every single week, so I thought of having a topic for this one.


It's not going to be easy. I have never seen Ghouse play, but Bopanna is a great doubles player. He partnered Prakash Amritraj and they  reached the finals of ATP Chennai, defeating quality doubles players like Yves Allegro, Radek Stepanek and Alexander Waske on their way. Since then, he has reached the finals of three Challengers, winning one of them.
Ghouse's performances are nowhere near those - he boasts two Futures finals this year, but that's about it.


Let us not forget that they knocked out the top seeds in the first round and will have the crowd behind them. I wonder if anyone will bother to cheer for the Brits. Think

I don't think that any Brit has won a senior doubles title since Tim (with Nenad Zimonjic) won the Monte Carlo Masters in 2004.

I think that Jamie Murray is the only Brit to reach the finals of one since Tim did it in Monte Carlo. Have to check this one out.... will do it later tonight.

I'd love these two to win their tournaments this week. It seems a little bit dull that after having such a good week we Brits may have to slip away without anything. Enough talk like that, it ain't gonna happen, come on the Murray boys, come on the J's (wierd how all the guys bar Andy this week are called James/Jamie. Hmmm)
