I believe he's been working exclusively with Hoferlin since December.
That will have coincided with his reinstatement to "Team Aegon" and a return to training at the National Tennis Centre.

So in Miami qualifiers Dan Evans came back from a break down, had a set point I think, then lost the tie break. Then lost 2nd set 6-0. Disappointing.

Some consolation for Dan - having gone out 7-6 6-0 to Bjorn Phau in qualifiers, Phau has just beaten Carlos Berloqu (ranked 37) 6-4 6-2

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

Shame about Dan - but given Phau's ranking, age and commensurate experience, the result probably wasn't that surprising.

Dan beat Alex Ward in qualifying for Le Gosier yesterday. Faces Arnaud Clement in the 1st round. Fair few top 100 players playing this tournament, including the likes of James Blake and Olivier Rochus.
Alex also into main draw as lucky loser, faces Yen-Hsun Lu in the opener.

Clement beat Dudi Sela in Miami at the end of last week before losing to Raonic (who then obviously with drew against Murray).
A great result for Dan. Authom or Roger-Vasselin in the 2nd round (the two players who ended James Ward's qualifying in the last two Masters).

Alex won the first set in a tie-break then Lu retired a few points into the 2nd set. He'll play David Goffin next.

Yep, just noticed this and went to post but you've beaten me to it!
Lu's ranked top 60 as well (which surprised me, never really rated him) - very impressive result, despite the retirement.
Evans faces the 4th seed Roger-Vasselin who has had a few experiences against Brits already this season, having lost to Murray the AO and then beating Ward in Miami qualifying last week.

I think Dan has come on by leaps and bounds over the past few months ever since he apparently took a tumble to himself and realised that he would have to work hard if he was to make anything of his career.

Yep. I didn't realise how he was ranked as an 18yo, clearly has loads of potential but let it go to waste. Now starting to realise his ability, I really hope he's able to get back to where he was a few years ago and go further, into the top 100. Maybe I'm being a bit optimistic.

He lost to Roger-Vasselin 3&2. A game less that Ward got against him in Miami.

Dan Evans is playing today in Shrewsbury, in qualifiers for some reason.
Anyone know what he's been doing for the last few weeks - didn't seem to be playing anywhere?
