yeah i saw that.its a shame but inevitable since its prob a truer reflection of the level she plays at when u consider how much her ranking was enhanced by australia last year

if one of them has a run of a few rounds in wimbledon then its possible- especially anne as shes closest

Yeah, she has a chronic injury doesnt she? A real shame, she did look really good. I watched her come very close to beating Jelena Dokic(?) at wimbledon one year, when dokic was one of the upper seeds. Was a great match, but i think Baltacha was already strugging with her illness/injury then.

Elena ArticleFor anyone who's interested, this article gives a decent account of her current situation. Not been able to find much a follow up on that, and it doesnt seem like she's been active on the LTA tour since the french open last year. She did play in the Scotland vs England match tho, so maybe she's still getting back to full fitness after major surgery last summer. Hope she gets her shot

She played really well in Aberdeen in November so I hope she does make a comeback to the tour. I still think she's got quite a bit to give.
