Henman vs Federer

roflmao WTF is that supposed to mean?

There's less than one year in age difference.

It's not an excuse.

Oh really? Every player matures at the same age, right? Amazing logic.....

And the premature Andy has performed better in Wimbly than a seasoned Nadal.

No i do not have amazing logic FFS.

And no they don't mature at the same age. But we're comparing talent and results here not the level of physical development.

And the premature Andy has performed better in Wimbly than a seasoned Nadal.

Well the seasoned Nadal has peformed outstandingly well compared to Andy.

Wimbledon is one tournament. Yes it's a big deal, but only when there are the results to match that. Andy's shown potential but nothing extraordinary.

I was quite surprised by Julia's and Cate's comments about Tim, but I feel that now isn't the right time for him to retire - it would be such a downer but I get both your points about if he keeps on losing that it won't look good on him but I also think that the only person who can say 'I'm going to retire' is Tim.  I'm sure he's not stupid and knows what 'the public' will be saying about him.  I guess he'll have talked it over with his family and friends, they're the ones who'll give him their true opinions and he'll value their opinions more than what's being battered around in the media.  He's said that he doesn't want to retire, so we all have to support Tim in what he wants to do and not judge him on his results - he'll do that for himself. British tennis needs Tim for now.

As for Greg's hint at retirement, well I'll be sad if he decides to go but it seems like he's feeling it a bit at the moment and he's a new dad and maybe that's been a bit of a pull for him.  Again, we have to support him in his decision, whatever it may be, but he's another that'll be missed in British Tennis.

ranting I'm soooo angry with this crappy wimbledon draw.

Why the hell did Timmy have to get possibly the most talented player ever in R2? It sucks! If he got in the bottom quarter there would only be Nadal to worry about (and his returning is pretty poor on grass). Ah well, he's still got at least another year in him I think.

Looks as though only Ancic will be able to stop Federer claiming number 4, and I suppose Federer deserves it. Whilst both of his first 2 matches were maulings, they were of the highest quality attacking tennis which is great to watch.
