None of the other thirteen year olds are as impressive as Nick at this moment. But we have this boy from London who is 12 years old and is highly impressive. Oliver Golding is one talented boy! He is twelve and will turn thirteen later this month. With a ranking of 221, he is the only 12 year old Brit ranked in the top 650 of the U14s. He's ranked 997 in the U16s, and is the only 12 year old Brit in the top 1500 there. Young Oliver played in the Aberdeen Cup last year. He won a match and Andy Murray was hughly impressed by him. But it's not just his tennis talents. Oliver is different from almost every other 12 year dreaming to be a pro. That's because..... He's a brilliant actor! He's a regular in West End and acted in his first major movie, The Adventures of Greyfriars Bobby, alongside the likes of Christopher Lee and Gina McKee. His dream is to both win Wimbledon and get an Oscar. Here is his official website: http://www.olivergolding.co.uk/index.htmIt's very wittily made for the bigger part. I'm sure that someone so talented will choose a proper path and hopefully he'll be able to pursue both his dreams together.

Hahahaha. Uber-talented, eh?
It helps Nick Jones that he has a tennis coach for a parent and therefore enough money to get proper training. My acquaintance in the LTA grass roots program tips him to play at Wimbledon in the future.

Just you wait, that kid is a genius. I don't know what he'll do, but I am sure that he'll be great. Ahh... the LTA. HANDS OF OUR NICK!!! I tip him to play in the Tour in the years to come. I'd like to see him move to somewhere outside Britain very soon. I've a funny feeling that he'll go to Florida.

Nick is severely lacking in comparison to other foreign thirteen year olds, but I believe that he can be a good player. Carlos Boluda of Spain won Eddie Herr of his group while dropping just five games in the whole big tournament!!! He double bagelled his opponent in the finals I believe. He's better than Tomic if you ask me. But such young talents often don't do much. *cough* Donald Young *cough* Who knows, Nick may be a top player in the years to come. Although the LTA will produce a few top players, I feel that our young players will be in safer hands if they are based in the USA or Europe.

Nah... never choose an academy just because it's famous. IMG is awesome indeed, but it also has a huge pool of aspiring players, so naturally they seem to have more success than they actually do. Always choose one that suits you.

Nope, he's seventeen and everyone expected him to crack the top 100 by now. And yes, I am sorry for taking that thing as something more than an example.

Oliver played in the Aberdeen cup, it was a one set tie break but he won easily, he seems to have the same fire power as Andy does, he was clenching his fist and shouting after the first point, could be one to look out for in the future.

Andy was highly impressed by Oliver. I regard Oliver as our best prospects in post Daniel Cox era. I'll be really grateful to people out here if they can get pics and if possible create a small report on the boys and girls playing in the Aberdeen Cup when they go to see it.

Thanks a lot! I really hope that he'll concentrate on his tennis career. He can be an actor even after he retires. Just like Cantona did.
